When Victoria Hall decided that she’d had enough of the limited options for coeliacs in Leeds and set-up 2 Oxford Place, she had no idea that the city’s first dedicated gluten-free restaurant would grow to be a become a firm-favourite even for those without an allergy or sensitivity! From a cuppa and a cake to a three course meal with a loved one, 2 Oxford Place caters for all – and even manages to offer something for veggies and vegans too!

Hotel Chocolat Roast + Conch – 55 Boar Lane, Leeds, LS1 5EL

To call Roast + Conch a chocolate lover’s paradise would be selling this exquisite Anglo-West Indian restaurant very short indeed. Yes, you can indulge in some of the most delicious desserts available in Leeds, but it’s the inventive and mouth-watering starters and mains, all with a hint of cacao, that are the real stars of the show. Gluten free options are plentiful and clearly marked on the menu, and the same goes for dairy free too.

Bibi’s Italianissimo – Criterion Place, Sovereign Street, Leeds, LS1 4AG

Firmly established as one of the finest Italian restaurants in West Yorkshire, Bibi’s have always been at the forefront of the gluten-free revolution. With a dedicated menu and the option of choosing gluten-free pasta in any of their dishes, we think this classic Italian establishment should be high on your list.

Pinche Pinche – 116A Harrogate Road, Leeds, LS7 4NY

Deep in the heart of Chapel Allerton lays this lovely little Mexican restaurant. Vibrant, colourful and exciting (and that’s just the decor), Pinch Pinche has a menu that the gluten-free diner in Leeds could return to time and again. With over twenty gluten-free options we’re sure that you’ll find plenty to love. If nothing else, the relaxed and informal atmosphere’s a breath of fresh air.

Salvo’s – 115 & 107 Otley Road, Leeds, LS6 3PX

As well as being a truly stunning restaurant, Salvo’s caters very well for those requiring gluten-free. From some of the best pizzas in town, to mains such as the delightful Merluzzo con Lenticchie (lemon herb crusted cod with lentils) and Guancia di Bue (Ox cheek with pancetta), you’ll be delighted with the ambiance and food quality – but do book early as they are very popular!
