Spring events in Leeds 2020


We’re hopeful that at least some of these fantastic spring events in Leeds still go ahead, but in the
light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, it’s all very much up in the air.

Despite that, we’re going to share our highlights of the spring and early summer events, to give you
all something to look forward to if all goes well!

Spring event for foodies – Leeds Indie Food festival – throughout May

Leeds is blessed with a vast array of excellent independent restaurants, bars and fast food outlets,
the Leeds Indie Food festival is a celebration of this fact. With hundreds of eateries taking part with
events and pop-ups all over the city, it’s the perfect way to try new cuisines and experience a taste
of different cultures.

Live at Leeds – 2nd May

Live at Leeds is the perfect way to celebrate music across the whole city this spring. Featuring over
200 artists on 20 stages and playing to over 10,000 fans, it’s a feast of music over the Bank Holiday
weekend. We love the diversity of the weekend, with a mix of established acts and up and coming
bands and artists for you to discover. Let’s hope it goes ahead because it’s a highlight of the spring
events in Leeds.

Leeds International Festival – Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen, Cross Belgrave St, LS2 8JP

Leeds International Festival is fast becoming a must-visit event, with music, lectures, and exciting
innovations that could change the world. Featuring everything from live music and DJ sets, talks on
sustainable living and workshops to excite the entire family, it’s one of the best-rounded events in
Leeds this spring. It’s scheduled to be held between 30th April – 9th May.

Leeds Food & Drink Festival –Millennium Square, Leeds – 22nd – 25th May

Back for its tenth year, the Leeds Food & Drink Festival is another event that foodies cannot miss!
With stalls from local restaurants, pubs and local producers, it’s a genuinely great way to spend the
weekend. You will have to loosen your belts a notch or two though because the sights and smells
coming from those stalls will be too much to resist!

The Trafalgar Street team love this time of year, and we’re all looking forward to these great spring
events in Leeds, so head on down and enjoy some of the community our city is famous for!
