If your budget doesn’t quite stretch to Harvey Nichols, we recommend the other designer department store on Briggate, House of Fraser. Featuring a huge range of quality high-street clothes, shoes and accessories from such designers as Ted Baker, Calvin Klein, DKNY and Tommy Hilfiger, it should be high on your list for a shopping trip. Give yourself a whole afternoon to explore, however, because there’s so much great gear to choose from!

The Paul Smith store in the Victoria Quarter is one of our favourite of all the Leeds designer clothes shops – especially if you’re looking for a new suit or jacket. Primarily famous for his dashing menswear collections, Paul Smith also produces some of the most elegant and stylish womenswear too – we especially like his women’s shirts.
Coach – 107-111 Briggate, Leeds LS1 6AZ
Bringing a touch of New York’s sophistication to Leeds is Coach – an American brand famous worldwide for its leather goods, but offering so much more. Both male and female collections feature designs that marry contemporary and classic so well, but, let’s be honest, you walk into Coach for the leather! From jackets and coats to wallets and bags, there’s something classic or quirky for everyone with money to spend.
