Yes, it can be a challenge to rummage through the rails to find what you’re looking for, but that’s also part of the charm – you can find some incredible items for next to nothing!
TK Maxx sells everything from clothes and shoes to homeware and toys – it really is a one-stop store for the bargain hunter with slightly more expensive tastes.
Primark – Trinity Leeds, Albion St, Leeds LS1 5AT
Primark offers a huge selection of the latest fashion clothes at incredibly low prices – but of course you already knew that! It pays to get in there at the start of the season to bag your favourites, because once they’re gone they’re gone.
Primark is the ‘go-to’ store for the basics when you’re looking for cheap clothes in Leeds – the staff are helpful and friendly, and even at peak times the queues move quickly, so if you’ve never been we thoroughly recommend a visit.
New Look – 3.10 / 3.11 The Core, The Headrow, Leeds LS1 6JB
New Look has two stores in Leeds, the other being in the Trinity Centre, but we’ll concentrate on this one in The Core today. Featuring a fine selection of quality clothes for women of all size (including both petite and plus-sized ranges), New Look primarily focuses on the latest fashions at realistic prices. The store is bright and spacious, and the staff are willing to help without being pushy.
Peacocks – 16/18, Merrion Center, Leeds LS2 8NG
Peacocks may not be as cool as some of the stores in this list, but it’s a great place for the odd bargain. The clothes are on a par with Primark’s for quality and price, but they’re, generally, better suited to the older shopper – think classic design rather than high fashion and you’ll be on the right tracks. The store doesn’t tend to get as busy as Primark either, so it’s a great place to shop without getting flustered!
