The beauty of a large city like ours is that it’s usually possible to find something to eat even if you have food allergies, and this week we’re going to help you to find a great gluten-free lunch in Leeds. All of these eateries take food prep seriously, and we’re sure that your meal will be both safe and delicious!

The Oxford Place – 2 Oxford Place, Leeds LS1 3AX

This family-run restaurant is a strong contender for the best gluten-free lunch in Leeds – actually, it’s right up there with the best lunch full stop! The menu is 100% gluten-free, so there’s no need to ask the staff for a separate menu or hunt around for the GF options. No, you just choose something delicious, get waited on by the wonderfully friendly staff, and enjoy! We particularly like the Spinach & Ricotta Pancake with Spiced Tomato Sauce!

Humpit Hummus and Pita Bar – Call Lane, Leeds LS1 7BR

If it’s a big and hearty lunch you’re looking for, you could do a lot worse than head to The Corn Exchange in Call Lane where you’ll find Humpit Hummus and Pita Bar. The name on the door really does say it all – it’s the place to go for a big bowl of chickpea related tastiness! You get loads for your money, and they’ll happily serve gluten-free options that you can take away or eat there in a super relaxed setting. We recommend them highly.

Pizza Express – Park House, Park Square W, Leeds LS1 2PS

It may be a chain, but hats off to Pizza Express because they serve a mighty fine gluten-free pizza! There are none of the soggy bases often associated with gluten-free pizzas, and the choice of toppings are great – there really is one for every taste. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the service is excellent – in fact, we’re happy to say that it’s the best gluten-free pizza in the city!

There are loads more amazing places to grab a gluten-free bite to eat in the city, including Pieminister, Jamie’s Italian Leeds, Appetite Deli and Bella Italia, so don’t be afraid to hunt around for some tasty treats. That said, we don’t think you can go wrong with our three favourite places to go for a gluten-free lunch in Leeds, so take the plunge and make your next lunch date one to remember!
