Since the First Direct Arena opened its doors in September 2013, it’s welcomed a host of big names in entertainment, giving Leeds residents the opportunity to enjoy events of a scale that the city was previously unable to cater for.
The largest venue in the area, the First Direct Arena, is continuing in its fast established tradition of hosting some of the biggest names in music this summer. Here are our picks of what’s on in June and July…
Leeds First Direct – events in June
5 Seconds of Summer – Australian pop chart toppers 5SOS are here to wow their UK fans during their 2 month tour.
Pharrell Williams – Multi-talented and with a history of impressive collaborations, Pharrell Williams will be performing an exclusive UK show on 12th June at the arena. A must see for hip hop and RnB fans, you’re sure to be feeling ‘Happy’ if you grab tickets for this one!
Fleetwood Mac – with a career spanning over 5 decades, Fleetwood Mac are returning to the UK with not 1, but 2 shows at the arena during June and July. With 17 studio albums under their belt, and Stevie Nicks back with the band, they’ll be sure to keep everyone rocking into the night with some of their well know hits – and perhaps some new material too.
Leeds First Direct – events in July
Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons – if you grew up in the 60s or 70s, you’ll be no stranger to the incredible stream of hits produced by this legendary band. Now 80 years old, Frankie is still mesmerising audiences with his amazing talent.
Bette Midler – as well known and loved for her acting as her singing, the incredible and inimitable voice of Ms Midler will be filling the arena and our hearts once again, after a UK performance absence of over 30 years. Tickets are sure to sell out quickly, so don’t delay – get booking today!
Neil Diamond – another legend of music and one of the biggest selling artists in history, many people will know Neil from the songs he performed as part of his acting role in the film The Jazz Singer. Fans will be treated to tracks from his latest album plus a bevy of classic hits.
